Hello Families,

We would love to see your child reading this summer! Please consider snapping a picture of your child reading a book this summer and email it to ccigler@valdersschools.org anytime before August 23, 2026. The picture could show your students reading at the beach, by a campfire, to a zoo animal, or under an umbrella on a rainy day. Show us the most creative, craziest or fun place where your students read this summer! We will feature this picture in a Back to School bulletin board at Valders Elementary when the kids return in the fall. It will be so much fun to see how reading was a part of your student’s summer!

Happy Summer,
Mrs. Chloe Cigler
