The Valders Special Education department works collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, students, families, and community partners to provide the tools, guidance, supports, and services needed to ensure access and success for students with identified special education needs.
Students ages 3-21 residing within the district are determined to be eligible for special education services by meeting criteria in one or more state-defined disability areas. Once eligible, an Individual Education Plan (IEP) is developed and students may begin receiving services. Service areas include:
