New Students
New students enrolling in the Valders Area School District for the first time at the at any point during the school year must register in-person.
Parents with school-age children who are new to the community and those moving within the school district boundaries are encouraged to register at their child(ren)'s new school as soon as possible. Parents of students entering:
- 4K-Grade 4 (ages 4-10) should contact the Elementary School at 920-775-9510.
- Grades 5-8 (ages 11-13) should contact the Middle School at 920-775-9520.
- Grades 9-12 (ages 14-17) should contact the High School at 920-775-9530.
To register, please bring:
- a birth certificate with you so that we can verify your child(ren)'s birth date and legal name
- a copy of your child(ren)'s immunization records
- a document with your current address, so we can verify district residency
- a recent report card from the last school attended is also helpful
Children must be four years old on or before September 1 of the current school year to begin four-year-old kindergarten or five years old on or before September 1 of the current school year to begin kindergarten in the Valders Area School District.
Immunizations
Wisconsin law requires that all children entering school for the first time be immunized against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B and varicella. Immunization requirements can be waived only if a signed health, personal conviction or religious exemption is filed with the school.
