Parent / Teacher Conferences
Due to the winter weather conditions we are expecting later this week, the administrative team has determined it will be in everyone’s best interest to move all Parent-Teachers Conferences to online meetings. The scheduled time with teachers should remain the same. You just will not meet with teachers face-to-face. You will meet with them in a virtual setting. Please check your email for details and instructions on how to meet with your child’s teacher through Google Meets.
Please know that this is ONLY for Parent-Teacher Conferences. The regular school days for Wednesday and Thursday have not changed at this time. We have NOT canceled school for any point this week. Any potential school cancelations will be considered later in the week.
If you have further questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher. They will be happy to further guide you in this new scenario.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation!

It has long been proven that students do better in school when parents/caregivers are involved in their academic lives. Attending parent-teacher conferences is a very important way for you to be involved and help your child succeed.
As teachers prepare for spring Parent/Teacher Conferences by gathering notes on your child’s academic progress, behavior in class, and examples of your child’s work, they also need your help! YOU know your child better than anyone, and can help prepare for conferences by making your own list of discussion points such as:
- any updates to the top 2 things you would like the teacher to know about your child
- any updated goals you have for your child, academic and/or behavioral
- any questions you have about how to help your child at home in order to do their best in school
Please take this opportunity to partner with your child’s teacher for a strong finish to the 2022-23 school year!

High school is the time when parents often feel their presence at parent-teacher conferences isn’t needed or valued, but high school is when grades and activities start to count for college, career, and beyond so it’s important to stay involved and engaged in your child's school life.
- Please have a copy of your child's report card and second semester schedule handy during the conference. This information can be found on Skyward Family Access. You can also pick up copies of these documents in the high school office prior to conferences during regular office hours if you do not have a printer at home.

Please remember, if your high school student is having academic difficulty, the first person they should contact is their teacher. They have the most insight and are the masters of the content they are teaching. They are the best resource for academic assistance. If your student has contacted and is currently working with their teacher and still feel behind, your student should contact the Student Services Office for additional support such as tutoring.
