School Culture
School started Thursday, September 1st! It is our goal to make our school a welcoming place where everyone feels like they belong. As we begin the new school year, we encourage students to say Hi to someone they might not know, invite a student sitting by themselves to eat lunch together, make sure everyone has a group to work with in class, etc. Let's celebrate our differences and realize that we have more similarities than we may think. Valders is a great community, and we have great schools – we are all in this together, we are all on the same team. We are all Valders Vikings!
School Safety Update
Each year the Valders Area School District Safety Committee partners with the Manitowoc County Sheriffs' Department to review safety procedures in and around our school. They also share with us the latest information about keeping our students safe. Please check your email inbox as updated safety expectations were included in recent newsletters home. We would like to thank students, families, staff and the community in advance for everyone’s understanding and help in supporting our safety efforts.
School & Family Partnerships
Schools and families have critical roles to play in promoting children’s positive self development and academic performance. When educators and parents/caregivers work together as partners, we can create extraordinary opportunities for children to develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills and growth - this partnership is especially important as the last few years have impacted us all in different ways. Please visit our Family Resources webpage for additional information.
